Below are indicative hourly rates for individuals and institutions. Discounts are available for multi-service projects.
Substantive Editing: Provides deep, scholarly engagement with the project and text.
Estimated Pace of Work @ 250 words/page: 3-5 pages/hour

Copy Editing: Corrects English language writing and improves clarity and readability.

Payment Terms
The rates listed here are guidelines only. I require 50% nonrefundable payment of the project cost when I accept the job and before I begin work on it. I receive payment of the balance when the job is completed. Full payment must be received before I return the completed project. Once we’ve agreed on the terms and fee of an editing project, I will also charge for email and phone communication at the hourly rate. I accept payments by bank transfer. Clients cover currency conversion and bank fees.
Manuscript Guidelines
Submitted manuscripts must be typed and double-spaced in 12-point font, submitted in Word. Editing will be applied in Track Changes to the originally submitted Word document. Any updates to the document or process that the author wishes to make will only be considered with a new contract.
